When username is created in SharePoint portal email is
directly send to user
on their email address from the portal:
The email is sent directly from the Portal from the email
address
Microsoft on behalf of your organization <ms-noreply@microsoft.com>. Some
users have reported they have not received email and end-up
resting the password.
Following could be the reasons why email not received by the
user or bounced :
1. The
email sometimes goes into users junk email folder.
2. The
recipient's email server is blocking inbound mail from our server, which may
be due to a blacklisting.
- The
email you have sent over time to the mail server has consistently
resembled spam, and it has stopped delivering email from you to its
users.
4. Message
received but deleted by looking at the email addressms-noreply@microsoft.com and user thought was a
spam without reading the email.
5. Message
sent to incorrect email address.
1. To
make sure the email is delivered to the user send the new user details to
your own work address as in the screenshot below and then forward to
the user and CC to the Requester.
(Note: Please make sure to tick “Required this user to change
their password when they first sign in”)
2. If
message is bounced please re-confirm the email address with the Requester.
Forwarding email to the user with the details:
Please note that the external users only need the office 365
user details to login to GC Sharepoint to access the SOPs.
When users click on button it takes them directly to the
Office 365 site causing the following issues:
1. Users get confused as there are no GC
Trainings and SOPs available there in Office 365.
(They
need a separate URL to access trainings and sops which will be provided by
Business solutions team. )
2. Cannot login to GC SharePoint as they
have existing office 365 login with another company and they have to properly
logout from it to login to GC SharePoint.
To avoid confusion :
1. Please
remove the button in the email before
sending to user.
2. Please
mention in the email:
“A separate email with a URL will be sent from the Business
solutions team to login the LMS to access the GC Trainings and GC SOPs.
